He grew up in Southern California with a lasting appetite for learning and for sport. After U.C.L.A. his interest in science took him to a year of immunology research at the Veterans Hospital in Los Angeles before he turned to dentistry.
In those first years in private practice he saw that both the clinical side of orthodontics and the business of running an office are always changing. Staying at the front of the field — learning not only what is new, but what is genuinely working — has been the practice's habit ever since.
Orthodontics is my expertise, but customer service and helping people is my passion.

Undergraduate degree, followed by a year in immunology research at the Veterans Hospital in Los Angeles — a first taste of science at a clinical level.

Earned his dental degree in Boston, graduating at the top of his class with the honor of Summa Cum Laude.

University of the Pacific — Orthodontic Residency
Specialist training in San Francisco at one of the most demanding orthodontic programs in the country.

Diplomate, American Board of Orthodontics
Board certification held by roughly one in five practicing orthodontists — a voluntary standard that goes well beyond a licence to practise.

A year in Bay Area private practice
Worked alongside several established orthodontists, taking note of what made each office excellent — clinically and for the person in the chair.

Opened in Dublin in September 1998, built around those lessons. The Tracy office followed.
